ToxiMet will be presenting at MycoRed 2012 in Ottawa, Canada from June 24 to June 28, 2012.

In parallel to the global launch of our new ToxiQuant system, ToxiMet will present the system to the international scientific community in a talk entitled "Novel ToxiQuant instrument for the analysis of mycotoxins", within the “Mycotoxin analysis at the point of sale - new methods useful near the LOD” session.

Other internationally recognized leaders in development of mycotoxin detection methods will also be presenting during that session, including Ron Niemeijer, Maria de Rosa, Chris Maragos, Corrado Fanelli, and Angelo Visconti.

MycoRed (http://www.mycored.eu/) is a EU FP7 project that aims at developing strategic solutions to reduce contamination by mycotoxins of major concern in economically important food and feed chains, through mycotoxins research joint actions.

ToxiMet is very pleased to announce that it has successfully completed a funding round raising in excess of £1m.  Commenting, David Palmer, ToxiMet’s Chairman said, ‘‘I am delighted that both our existing and new shareholders are substantially backing the Company to continue our development programme and bring our breakthrough technology to market’’

February 2011

The prototype ToxiQuant instrument was trialled at three potential customers with great success.  It was run in parallel with HPLC instruments using known FAPAS samples and produced results well within the permitted range and comparable to those from HPLC.  We received feedback including; 

"....I really see it replacing HPLC....the time and cost savings ToxiMet provide are extremely appealing."

"We will definitely buy the system, especially after the exceptional performance. I believe it will be widely used by other suppliers of edible nuts and dried fruit."

"It is a very robust device and provided very consistent results...I would for sure buy the device..."
