With the prototype instrument available in January 2011, three customer trials were organised for February 2011 at:
> A Public Analytical Organisation
> Leatherhead Food Research Organisation an independent food research organisation
> Besana Food Group an Italian importer, packer and distributor of dried fruit and nuts
In all three cases the ToxiQuant was run alongside the customer’s HPLC instrument using a known (FAPAS) hazelnut paste sample. The results in ppb from the Public Analyst were as follows:

Any differences between the ToxiQuant results and the HPLC results are well within allowable tolerances. On the back of this ToxiMet received the following (shortened) testimonials:
"....I really see it replacing HPLC....the time and cost savings ToxiMet provide are extremely appealing." Public Analyst
"We will definitely buy the system, especially after the exceptional performance. I believe it will be widely used by other suppliers of edible nuts and dried fruit." Pino Calcagni, Owner, Besana Foods
"It is a very robust device and provided very consistent results...I would for sure buy the device..." Peter Wilson, Leatherhead Food Research
